‘Connected-body’ Movement Workshop
The Short
Taking a perspective of the human being as an inescapably ‘Connected-body’, we propose contexts of Movement Practice in which internal & external connections are illuminated & nourished. This work includes locating & removal of “blockages” on the physical layer, building relationships with other bodies & communication with our environment, objects, space & gravity. It is framed through focus on subjects such as*:
• Conflict dynamics: finding inter-body synergy on the PLAY -> FIGHT spectrum.
• Environmental-communication: foundational literacy on floors, walls, bars, rails.
• Stickwork & ‘wielding’: long/short-stick work, individual & partner.
• Breathing & diaphragm: an exposure to the MoveMore ‘3-pillar’ practice.
• Structural intelligence: generating, transmitting & redirecting forces.
• Recovery protocols: tension modulation, fascial-care, ANS regulation.
The event is open to all bodies & abilities – no previous experience is required.
*Content is not guaranteed & is adapted to the space & facilities.
